Invasive species

Invasive species such as rhododendron, Himalayan balsam, and Japanese knotweed, can cause problems by shading out or competing with native flora. Some native species may also be invasive, or may become so, particularly in the context of climate change, such as bracken, nettle, bramble, ash in oak woods, rosebay willowherb.

Advice on dealing with invasive species is available here.
