County Down

From the tranquil shores and islands of Strangford Lough, to the dramatic slopes of the Mourne mountains, County Down is a land of contrasts. Ancient and long-established woods here, too, vary from the native oakwood of Rostrevor, spectacularly situated overlooking Carlingford Lough in the very south of the county, to the great parkland trees and planted woods of Belvoir Forest Park, on the outskirts of Belfast.
