Educational resources

Ancient and long-established woods are such inspirational places to visit to find out more about nature.

Why not sign up to become one of our recorders, helping us chart the changing seasons, through our Nature Detectives project? Then get your wellies on and head out to the woods to make your first observations! There are loads of fun games and activities, and free downloadable resources available.

Or, if you are a teacher, the Woodland Trust has produced educational resources focused on woodland that you can download.

Environment and Heritage Service also has some excellent educational resources. There are packs of information and activities linked to some of our best ancient and long-established woodland sites, such as Banagher Glen and the Roe Valley Country Park, plus factsheets and information on anything from minibeasts to red squirrels.
