KEY for classification of woods on the inventory and definitions of different antiquity classifications (12 June 2008)

PRELIMINARY REPORT: This is the preliminary technical report on the aims, methodology and results of the Back on the Map project to find Northern Ireland's ancient and long-established woodland (25 Jan 2007). Please note that further survey and analysis has been carried out since publication of this report which has led to changes in the classification of woods on the inventory, so that the results section of this report is out of date. Revised results will be published in a full report of the project later in 2008.
